New Warrens Bakery Opens in Eastleigh
The centre of Eastleigh was a hive of activity on Tuesday morning, as eager locals lined up to get a true taste of the South West, with the grand opening of our new store on the high street. As the second only store of its kind outside of the West Country, we celebrated the launch with an official ribbon cutting by local businessman Farhat Abbas; who we’ve teamed up with in what is planned to be the first of many stores in and around Hampshire.
Situated on 31 Market Street, Eastleigh, it opens just months after we launched our first franchise store in Birmingham. Locals won’t have to travel very far to pick up their favourite freshly baked pasty, often enjoyed on holidays in the South West.
Our expert team at Warrens Bakery are looking forward to sharing the delicious range of artisan bakes with even more hungry customers. The Eastleigh bakery is set to compliment existing local stores in that area on the high street, showcasing a range of craft products including fresh sandwiches, savouries, scones, artisan breads, cakes, sweet treats and their award-winning Cornish pasties.
Following our official launch to celebrate the opening, there are plenty of not to be missed promotions planned for locals. Local residents greeted us warmly on the high street, leaving armed with freshly baked goods. One Plymothian couple who left Devon 54 years ago (pictured below), made a special trip into town for the occasion and left us stocked up with pasties to share with visiting friends and family!
Warrens Bakery have teamed up with local businessman Farhat Abbiss, to mark the start of a second franchise partnership, with the opening of a new bakery on Tuesday 30 th May. Situated on 31 Market Street, Eastleigh, it opens just months after the Cornish bakery launched their first franchise store in Birmingham. Known as the world’s oldest Cornish pasty maker, locals won’t have to travel very far to pick up their favourite freshly baked pasty, often enjoyed on holidays in the South West.
Commenting shortly after the opening of the new bakery on Tuesday 30th May, local businessman Farhat Abbas said: “I’m thrilled to be working alongside the Warrens Bakery team to be able to provide Eastleigh residents with something new, yet traditional, on the high street. It’s been fantastic to see so many people already enjoying both sweet and savoury bakes and get the seal of local approval. It has made me even more excited for the next set of openings planned before the end of the year, including Southampton and Winchester.”

With a track record for running successful franchises in the area, we are looking forward to working with Farhat and his team in the next stage of our development. We are moving rapidly into franchise with a new store pipeline of 100 new stores in the next 5 years, and have 20 more signed to open this year.
