Celtic Inspired World Aims Week with Truro School
We were delighted to get a call from Truro School to ask if we would like to be involved in their World Aims Week and with us being the oldest Cornish pasty maker in the world, who better to tell them all about the Celtic Cornish history of pasties than the Warrens Bakery team?
The students divided up into two groups, and while one group learned all about the Cornish Pasty industry, the others tried their hands at crimping their very own Cornish pasties!
As part of the day, we asked the students to invent brand new pasty flavours along with ways that they would tell the world about their new pasty via social media. The ideas were incredible, from seafood to high tea inspired pasties, Snapchat filters and interactive games. Watch this space as we will be choosing one of their ideas and putting it into production early next year…
The children also tried their hands at making their own pasties, including crimping. They were outstanding and produced some spectacular Cornish Pasties.
Thank you to all who helped to make the event a success and fun for the children!
