As the World’s Oldest Cornish Pasty Makers, we have a reputation for tradition here at Warrens Bakery and this is something of which we are extremely proud. However, with the recent launch of our exclusive artisan bread range, we are continually striving to evolve.
Ever innovative, pushing the boundaries in craft bakery, our dedicated team of bakers have worked hard to create the first ever ‘Mince Pie and Custard Pasty’.
Cornish Pasty Makers with a twist
Last year our Head Baker Jason Jobling, developed something outstanding to give a nod to tradition, yet with a contemporary twist. Our unique Mince Pie & Custard Pasty will stand out as a clear culinary winner once again this Christmas. On the actual making of the pasty, Jason explained, “We have made the pasty using rough puff pastry, filled it with specially selected mincemeat and a vanilla custard and have crimped it in the same way we would a savoury pasty. It’s glazed and topped with a cinnamon and sugar blend for extra crunch.” As with all Warrens Bakery’s pasties these are hand filled, hand crimped and handmade with a heaps of passion. The pasty is designed to be served at ambient temperature, and as such will be a pasty you can start enjoying right from purchase.
