Goodness at Greens opens at Derriford Hospital
We are delighted to announce we have launched a new dining experience at Derriford Hospital. The wholesome eatery ‘Goodness at Greens’ offers balanced food choices using many local suppliers and opened the doors to this fresh look on the 3rd April.
Located on level 7 of the hospital, the restaurant caters for all tastes, inclusive of vegetarian, gluten–free and vegan. Whether you’re looking for a cooked breakfast, roast dinner, innovative ‘hot boxes’ or want to create your own lunch from the extensive salad station, there is something for all palates whatever the time of day.
Goodness at Greens was officially opened by Professor Greg Dix, the hospital’s Chief Nurse who cut the ribbon with Alex Martin, Director of Operations, for Warrens Bakery on Tuesday morning and declared it ‘open’.
Alex Martin, said: “We have worked with the Hospital Trust for over ten years to deliver a wide range of food to customers. The opening of Goodness at Greens – which is open seven days a week from 7am to 7pm – further broadens this food offer. I couldn’t be more proud to work with the Trust team to create this concept using the fantastic ingredients on offer in the region.”
Sarah Widnell, the Trust’s Retail Manager, commented: “the Trust is really pleased to see such a varied and wholesome food offering in the hospital. This new development has brought a modern high street ambiance to the hospital environment and we hope it will be a relaxing space for staff, patients and visitors to enjoy good quality food.”
