In celebration of this, we asked our customers which of our staff members had gone above and beyond for our loyal customers and deserved some recognition.
It’s fair to say that we were inundated with suggestions as to who it should go to and we are extremely proud of all our staff. We absolutely loved reading the stories from our happy customers.
But, as difficult as it was, we could only choose one team member. We are really delighted to announce that Ella, from our Falmouth bakery, is our winner!
We were so impressed by Ella’s approach. Going above and beyond to give the customer everything they asked for, demonstrates the resourcefulness and kind nature that we aim to deliver to everyone that walks through our door.
“Being a visitor to Cornwall, me and my partner were keen to find a “raw” pasty to purchase so upon our return home we could give them to our family so that they’d have a “taste of Cornwall”
(we’d bought a cooler bag in preparation but was quickly disappointed -as following enquiries with local bakeries in the area we quickly realised that this was not possible and struggled to find anyone that could help.)
However after entering your Falmouth bakery, Ella very quickly understood what we wanted to do to-and nothing was too much of trouble.
After paying she also kindly agreed to keep the pasties refrigerated in store for us to collect the next morning (as we were staying at a hotel-without a fridge)
Whilst there, we also paid for scones and cream, and she also kindly agreed that we could pick them up the next day so we could have freshly baked scones.
Whilst the shop officially opened at 10am the next day she said that she would be working earlier that day and that we could pop in earlier to pick up our purchases (and she’d even boxed everything up for us too)
We completely appreciated that it wasn’t standard protocol, and without her help we wouldn’t have been able to buy our presents.”
So, Congratulations Ella!
