Supporting Young Talent: Lexie’s Work Experience at Taunton
We’re delighted to welcome Lexie, who is currently completing work experience at our Taunton Store. Lexie has a real passion for food and dreams of opening her own café one day, so is spending time with us to gain hands-on experience.
Beyond her time in-store, Lexie showcases her culinary skills through her website, Lexie Cooks, where she shares delicious recipes and food inspiration. If you are unable to visit a Warrens store, why not have a go at making your own sausage rolls using Lexie’s village hall recipe!
Lexie is working two lunchtime shifts a week, gaining hands-on experience in retail by serving customers, stocking shelves, and operating the till. It’s been especially interesting for her to see how our tills operate, giving her a deeper understanding of customer service and our systems.
Her placement wouldn’t be possible without the amazing support of our team at Taunton and Young Somerset, a youth and community support charity, who provide support to young people and their families, helping them develop skills suited to their ambitions.
