Participants to be selected by our Head Baker Jason Jobling on 1st August 2018.
Winners in stage 1 using the form will be selected based on their answer of the question “Why do they deserve to win?” Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winner(s). If the winner(s) cannot be contacted within two weeks, or are unable to comply with these terms and conditions, the promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant.
Confirmation of the prize will be made in writing to the winner(s). Failure to respond and/or provide an address for delivery, or failure to meet the eligibility requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize. There will be two parts to the prize. 7 contestants will be selected to go head to head in a bakery master class held in Bristol at Nesbits Showroom at the beginning of August (date tbc) 11am – 3pm. The day will involve pasty making, crimping and the chance to get creative with flavour development, alternative scone making, the perfect artisan bread bake. Transport and accommodation to the venue are not included. All contestants will receive a baking goodie bag to take away with them. Of those seven, one will be selected to visit the bakery in St Just for two days, being taught craft bakery by our Head Baker, Jason Jobling, participate in new product development, learn techniques and have a bakery tour. Travel and accommodation will be covered by the prize for the winner and a nominated adult from the nearest train station/airport to the bakery. This does not include travel from the winners home to the transport station provided. They will also win a cookery course at their local cookery college for the value up to £250, this class must be redeemed before July 2019. Plus a year’s supply of bakes from Warrens Bakery via gift vouchers, £20 per month.
Entry is open to residents of the UK except employees (and their families) of Warrens Bakery Ltd, its printers and agents, the suppliers of the prizes and any other companies associated with the competitions. The entrant(s) must be aged between 16 and 19. Proof of identity and age may be required.
Use of a false name or address will result in disqualification. There will be seven winners in total selected from seven regions of the UK: South West, South, South East, London, Wales, Midlands and North. Winners will be expected to attend up to two events, one in Cornwall and the other in Bristol to receive baking lessons from Jason Jobling and the St Just Bakery team. Recommended method of entry will be via a form on the website. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, indecipherable, or inaudible (if made by phone) will not be valid and deemed void. All entries must be made directly by the person entering the competition or by a nominee. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed in the post, or due to computer error in transit. The prizes are as stated, are not transferable to another individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.
The winner(s) is (are) responsible for expenses and arrangements not specifically included in the prizes, including any necessary travel documents, passports and visas. Prizes are subject to availability and the prize suppliers’ terms and conditions. The promoters reserve the right to amend or alter the terms of competitions at any time and reject entries from entrants not entering into the spirit of the competition. In the event of a prize being unavailable, the promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value. The winner(s) agree(s) to the use of their name, photograph and disclosure of county of residence and will co-operate with any other reasonable requests by Warrens Bakery Ltd relating to any post-winning publicity.
Where applicable, the decision of the judges is final based on the criteria set out in the promotion and no correspondence will be entered into over this decision.
Competitions may be modified or withdrawn at any time.

The Promoter is Warrens Bakery Ltd, Boswedden Road, St Just, Penzance, Cornwall, TR19 7JP.
In the event of a discrepancy between these standard terms and conditions and the details in the promotional material (or any other terms and conditions provided/referred to at the time of entry), the details of the promotional material (and any other terms and conditions provided/referred to at the time of entry) shall prevail.
A list of winners will be available by writing into the business at the Promoter’s address no earlier than six weeks, unless otherwise stated, after the close of the competition. Only the surname and county of the winners will be disclosed.
