Naughty or Nice – The results are in!

Throughout the entire month of December, you joined us in the ultimate pasty showdown. This campaign saw our wonderful customers having to decide between the Traditional Cornish ‘Nice’ Pasty or the delectable Festive Turkey and Cranberry ‘Naughty’ Pasty.

The response was phenomenal with over 10,000 Festive Turkey and Cranberry pasties flying off the shelves during the festive season. And as you know, for every Festive Pasty purchased 10p would be donated to Wooden Spoon, the children’s charity of rugby. The total raised by you ‘naughty’ pasty lovers – £1070.40

With the money raised going towards Wooden Spoons’ Disability Tag Rugby Festival taking place this summer, we decided to match the amount raised, the grand total donated by Warrens will be £2,140.80. These contributions play a pivotal role in sponsoring children to participate in the tournament as well as covering essential expenses such as training and kit costs.

Louise Batty, our Marketing Manager, was very pleased with this fantastic amount and said, “We are thrilled to have raised this significant amount for Wooden Spoon through our ‘Naughty or Nice’ Christmas campaign. Supporting the youth rugby community and grassroots sports is a cause close to our hearts. To contribute to Wooden Spoon’s Tag Rugby Disability Festival, providing children with the opportunity to participate, is truly gratifying. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who indulged in a Festive pasty and contributed to this important cause.”

Sarah Webb, CEO of Wooden Spoon, enthusiastically added, “We’ve been bowled over by the support from Warren’s Bakery in helping us make the Wooden Spoon’s Disability Tag Festival a reality this Summer. Wooden Spoon’s Disability Tag Festival is now literally powered by pasties, allowing hundreds of children living with disabilities the chance to ‘be rugby players’ and to experience the joy and benefits of team sport.”

Together, with the incredible support of our customers, we are proud to have played a role in making a positive impact on the lives of these children, fostering a sense of inclusion and joy through the joy of rugby.
