Naughty or Nice – The choice is yours!

Traditional or Festive? Steak or Turkey?

Our ultimate pasty showdown is here, and it’s the merriest thing since… Christmas! Drumroll, please… Introducing the Naughty or Nice Christmas campaign, hot and fresh from the Warrens Bakery oven!

Launched on the 1st of December, in all our stores and online, we’re asking you to play the role of Santa’s little helpers and pick your favourite pasty: the oh-so-popular traditional ‘Nice’ Cornish Pasty or the cheeky, festive ‘Naughty’ Turkey and Cranberry Pasty.

And the best part? For every ‘Naughty’ Pasty you purchase up, we’ll donate 10p to Wooden Spoon, a charity making a difference for children through rugby.

We kicked off this pasty showdown with two of Cornwall and Devon’s rugby MVPs – Kyle Moyle from Cornish Pirates throwing down for the ‘Nice’ Pasty, and Sam Maunder from Exeter Chiefs repping the ‘Naughty’ Pasty. These rugby champs aren’t just chasing tries; they’re chasing votes for their pasties and home turf as well as support for Wooden Spoon!

Expressing his support, Sam Maunder stated, “I’m honoured to be part of Warrens Bakery’s campaign, raising funds for the vital Wooden Spoon charity. I encourage everyone to choose the ‘naughty’ festive pasty this December, not only to support this crucial cause but also to demonstrate that it’s not solely about the Traditional Cornish Pasty.”

Kyle Moyle added, “As a proud Cornish native, I naturally advocate for the long-standing Traditional Cornish Pasty. However, I hope patrons will embrace Warrens Bakery’s campaign and opt for the Festive Turkey and Cranberry ‘Naughty’ Pasty to maximise our contributions to Wooden Spoon. It’s heartening to see Warrens Bakery extend their support to grassroots junior rugby in Cornwall and further contribute to the rugby community.”

As well as a new relationship with Penzance and Newlyn RFCs’ youth section, we wanted to continue to support the future rugby superstars. All the money raised through your Festive Pasty purchases will be donated to support Wooden Spoon’s Disability Tag Rugby Festival happening next summer. This will help cover things like sponsoring a kid to join, as well as covering training and kit expenses.

Sarah Webb, CEO of Wooden Spoon, expressed gratitude: “We are thrilled that Warrens Bakery has chosen to collaborate with Wooden Spoon for their ‘Naughty or Nice’ pasty campaign. The funds raised will be allocated to our disability rugby tag appeal, providing children with additional needs the opportunity to develop their rugby skills in an inclusive and accepting environment. Thank you, Warrens Bakery, for supporting Wooden Spoon in making a lasting impact on children through the power of rugby. I personally recommend the ‘naughty’ pasty.”

You can purchase the ‘Naughty’ and ‘Nice’ pasties both in-store and online from 1st December – 31st December 2023. And don’t forget, place your vote today and be in with a chance of winning a £50 voucher.
